Dine & Shine Co-ordinator - Part Time Paid Position

We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and working with elderly people to engage them and encourage a renewed interest in food and eating together.

 

The worker will be responsible for co-ordinating a weekly session involving shopping, preparing, cooking and hosting a nutritious meal. They will ensure a selection of varied and nutritious meals are provided and that people are happy and comfortable within each session. 

 

The aim of the funding is for people to learn how to cook simple, achievable meals and share a meal with others.

 

The ability to get on well with all kinds of personalities is very important as is patience, tolerance and kindness. 

 

Working hours are 2.5 hours per week including preparation and making a meal and clear up time.

 

Salary is £10 per hour

 

The co-ordinator will also require good organisation skills to work with the participants to engage them in a learning about and encouraging trying new foods and coordinate the volunteer team.  The ability to prepare and cook a meal from scratch is required.

 

The role requires approval under the PVG scheme and a current food hygiene qualification.

Volunteers Needed.......

Bairns Rock Volunteers

Our Bairns Rock Pre-school childrens groups urgently need volunteers to assist with this.

The group runs on a Tuesday morning and a second group on a Tuesday afternoon

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Sally Forshaw on office.apschurch@gmail.com or drop into the church any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning to speak to someone about it

 

Lunch Club Volunteers

Our WEEKLY lunch club need additional volunteers to assist with this.

 

This group provides lunch and activities for elderly people or people with dementia accompanied by their carers, on a Thursday afternoon.

Both of these groups may require approval under the Protection of Vulnerable Adults & Childrens Scheme (PVG), but this will be applied for should you be successful in your application to volunteer with us.

If you are interested in voluntary work on a regular weekly basis, please do get in touch or pop into the church any Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 3pm to enquire

Jubilee Lunch Club Co-Ordinator - PAID POSITION - £10 per hour

Jubilee Lunch Club Co-ordinator

Allan Park South Church, Dumbarton Road, Stirling FK8 2LQ

 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with elderly people and those living with Dementia to co-ordinate our weekly lunch club group and our monthly outreach at Bield Housing Association (and possibly others to be decided in future)

 

The group runs from 12noon to 2pm every Thursday throughout the year (excluding Christmas and New Year)

 

The coordinator will be responsible for planning each session and carrying out or arranging the activities, and also ensuring that all participants are happy and comfortable within each session. 

 

The ability to get on well with all kinds of personalities is very important as is patience, tolerance and kindness. 

 

Working hours are from 10am to 3pm plus an additional 3 hours per week (total 8 hours paid per week) to allow for planning of sessions and monthly outreach work.

 

Salary is £10 per hour

 

The coordinator will also require good organisation skills to work with the participants to engage them in a range of activities and also to coordinate the volunteer team

 

The role requires approval under the PVG scheme.

Bairns Rock Co-Ordinator - PAID POSITION - £10 per hour

Bairns Rock Co-ordinator

We are looking for a someone who is passionate about working with children and families, to co-ordinate our weekly under 5’s group and further develop an Inter-generational afternoon group

 

The groups runs from 9.30 to 11.30am and again from 1pm to 3pm every Tuesday in school term time. 

 

The coordinator will be responsible for planning each session and carrying out the activities in each session, and also ensuring that all parents and their children are happy and comfortable in each session. 

 

The ability to get on well with all kinds of personalities is very important as is patience, tolerance and kindness. 

 

Working hours are from 9am to 3.30pm plus additional 1.5 hours per week (total 8 hours paid per week) to allow for planning of sessions and collection of snack food. 

 

Salary is £10 per hour

 

Bairns Rock has a short bible story at each session therefore we require someone of Christian faith who can deliver these stories in a meaningful way to the children. 

 

The coordinator will also require basic art and craft skills to work with the children in a fun way and engage them in a range of activities. 

 

The role requires approval under the PVG scheme.
